Engel & Völkers Marbella has successfully closed 326 transactions in 2024; our results reflect the continuously strong demand for premium properties. Noteworthy milestones include a landmark sale of €28.5 million, one of the most significant sales ever done in Marbella! Among the 326 completed sales, 46 were with prices exceeding €5 million, cementing our dominance in the ultra-luxury market. Also interesting to report is that fewer than 10% of these transactions required mortgages.
Besides our results, the general statistics of the real estate market reflect a strong buyer confidence and due to the high demand, property values rose sharply by 12.1% year-on-year, reaffirming Marbella’s position as a top investment destination. However, not only high-end properties are in high demand, with our six offices across Marbella, we proudly lead sales in various segments from Cabopino in East Marbella to La Alquería in the West, with the impressive average sales price of €1.7 million, including second-hand apartments, penthouses plots and villas.
Marbella’s magnetic allure continued to attract a global clientele in 2024, with buyers from around the world drawn to its exceptional quality of life. The diversity of nationalities reflects Marbella’s cosmopolitan appeal and ability to cater to a range of lifestyle aspirations, from family retreats to exclusive hideaways. In addition to the regular visitors and residential buyers, we have noticed that a remarkable 4.1% of our buyers come from all over the USA as well as many new buyers coming from Poland, The Czech Republic, Estonia and Latvia.
